Burns II has specialized in the care of pediatric and adult athletes, including performing arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder, for over 16 years and is one of the most well-respected and sought after orthopaedic surgeons in the area. He is a leader and innovator in the field of minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and reconstruction of the shoulder. Dr. Burns is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and was one of the first orthopaedic surgeons to become Board Certified in Sports Medicine. Dr. Burns has served as Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Chief of Staff at Centennial Medical Center, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Surgery Centre at Craig Ranch and Craig Ranch Hospital.
